Rajouri, October 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Jammu division on Sunday to encourage the soldiers guarding the motherland. He met the soldiers posted along the Line of Control in Rajouri district. He celebrated Diwali with the jawans in Bimbhar Gali sector on the Line of Control.

Prime Minister Modi, who arrived by special military helicopter, congratulated the soldiers on Diwali. Apart from Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, several senior army officers were also present on the occasion. The Prime Minister said that due to the soldiers, the countrymen are celebrating this festival in their homes peacefully today.

Prime Minister also tweeted a video in which he was seen distributing sweets to the troops.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to the martyred soldiers during the ceasefire violation along the Line of Control. At the same time, saluted the bravery of the people living in the residential areas adjacent to the Line of Control. He said that if Indian soldiers are protecting the border, then these people living in residential areas adjacent to the border are also keeping an eye on every activity. Whenever a terrorist infiltrates the Indian border by avoiding the eyes of the soldiers, then these people play an important role in protecting the country by giving information about it.

He said that the terrorists present in Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (POK) somehow want to infiltrate the Indian border to bring instability here, but we do not have to let their intentions succeed.

The Prime Minister has given a clear signal that our brave soldiers
deployed along the Line of Control (LoC) will give a befitting reply to every nefarious conspiracy of enemies across the border.

It is noteworthy that in the year 2017, the Prime Minister celebrated Diwali with the soldiers posted in Gurez sector of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. After becoming Prime Minister in 2014, Modi reached Siachen to celebrate Diwali with the soldiers. He encouraged the soldiers deployed in defense of the country under inaccessible conditions. In 2015 and 2016, he celebrated Diwali with soldiers posted along the border in Punjab and Indo-Tibetan Border Police posted in Himachal Pradesh. He celebrated this festival in 2017 in the Gurez sector and in 2018 with the soldiers posted on the India-China border in Uttarakhand.

Pakistan has been violating the ceasefire along the Line of Control and the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir almost every day. During this time, Pakistan has targeted the most residential areas along the Line of Control in Poonch and Rajouri districts.
