Lucknow, 11 Jan: The Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force (STF) detained four members of an inter-state gang in Agra who were allegedly involved in preparing fraudulent mark sheets and diplomas from various institutions and education bodies, officials said on Thursday.
Acting on a tip, an STF squad detained four persons on Wednesday night in various parts of Agra, and a significant number of blank mark sheets, 349 holograms of the UP Secondary Education Council, and certain universities were confiscated from their possession, according to an official statement published here.
Arjun, Nekram Kushwaha, and Pankaj Sharma, all of Agra, as well as Mohit Gupta, of Firozabad, were detained, according to police.
A case has been filed in this respect in Agra’s Tajganj neighborhood, and a thorough investigation is underway, according to officials.
