Lucknow, 14 Jan: In Uttar Pradesh, travel agencies running small and big four wheelers and mini buses from Agra, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur have increased the fare up to Ayodhya by โ‚น 5 per kilometre.

In view of the crowd coming to Ayodhya after the Shri Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha program, the owners of the travel agency took this decision with the aim of earning profit.

With this decision, booking a mini bus has become expensive for people planning to visit Ayodhya with their family. Earlier, mini bus booking was being done at the rate of โ‚น 28 per kilometre, which suddenly increased the rate from โ‚น 33 to 35, due to which the per person rate in a 19-seat mini bus is increasing from โ‚น 500 to 700.

Sumit Mishra, who operates private buses on the Lucknow to Ayodhya route, said that four-wheelers are running at the rate of per kilometer. At present, considering the demand in Ayodhya, the rates of some vehicles have been increased, the main reason for which is the sudden increase in demand for vehicles.

He said that the demand for vehicles has increased, while there is a shortage of vehicles as compared to the demand, hence there is a compulsion to automatically increase the rates.

He said that they have mini bus available at the rate of โ‚น 30,000 and big buses at the rate of โ‚น 50,000. This is today’s rate.

However, rates may increase further. Small cars are still running at โ‚น 10 per kilometer and big cars at โ‚น 13 per kilometre. The prices of small cars and big cars are also expected to increase in the coming times.

Ashok Kushwaha, a driver who drives private vehicles in a government department, said that he constantly takes care of the vehicles.

The rates of vehicles have increased, despite this there is no decrease in the enthusiasm of the people who worship in Ayodhya. Booking is going on continuously even at increased rates.

There is no increase in the fares of daily operated private buses. There is currently no increase in the fares of daily operated buses for Ayodhya. All these buses are running from morning till night in front of Avadh Bus Stand.

Despite all the efforts of the traffic police, private buses are being stopped in front of Awadh bus depot.

Some travel agencies are also running private buses from behind the High Court, due to which the passengers of Transport Corporation buses are being greatly affected.
