All India Cine Workers Association appeals to producers, “not to shoot any film in Maldives”

The matter has heated up after Maldives Minister criticized India’s self-reliance. Actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Ranveer Singh have refused to shoot their films in Maldives.

Meanwhile, the All India Cine Workers Association has requested filmmakers not to shoot films in Maldives.

All India Cine Workers Association President Suresh Shyamlal has also posted a video in this regard on social media.

Suresh said, ‘A few days ago the Maldivian minister had given a derogatory statement against India. Then the trend of India vs Maldives started. As the President of India Cine Workers Association, I request all film producers to boycott Maldives. No film should be shot there. Also, don’t go there to spend your holidays. Whoever stands against us, we will stand against him.”

Earlier, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees had also opposed the shooting of films in Maldives. They asked the filmmakers to find alternative locations in India and shoot the films there. Appealed.

What is the whole matter

Three ministers of Maldives had made derogatory remarks about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Lakshadweep and also about Indian citizens.

Maldives ministers said that Narendra Modi is making the Union Territory an alternative tourist destination for Maldives. After this incident, the whole controversy started. The controversy increased so much that Boycott Maldives started trending on social media. Many Indians canceled tickets and hotel bookings for Maldives.

In view of the increasing controversy. Ultimately the Maldives government has suspended the three ministers concerned.
