Ayodhya, 18 January: The idol of Lord Shri Ram was placed on the seat of the sanctum sanctorum ( Garbha-Griha) of the newly-constructed grand Ram temple in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.
On Thursday, the third day of the Pran Pratishtha ritual, the immovable idol of Lord Ram was placed on the pedestal by the Vedic pundits with full worship rituals. It took a total of more than four hours to install the idol of Ramlala on the pedestal.
However, the final consecration of the immovable idol of Shri Ram will take place on January 22. But the fully covered idol of Ramlala has now been placed on its pedestal.
On this occasion, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, host of the ritual Trust member Dr Anil Mishra, VHP patron Dinesh, sculptor Yogiraj along with many prominent people were present.
