Lucknow, November 24: The Krishnanagar police in Lucknow on Sunday apprehended seven fraudsters, including a gangster who sold vehicles from agencies by financing vehicles through fake documents. Police have recovered a large number of four wheelers and two wheelers at the behest of this gang.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kalanithi Naithani said that ‘Operation 420’ campaign is being carried out for the fraudsters. Under this, the crime branch and Krishnanagar police have been successful in catching seven gangsters of the gang.
SSP said that gang leader Amit Yadav, resident of Aligarh, and Rehan, resident of Campal Road, Lucknow, Krishnanagar Anand Kumar, Anil Kumar, Mohammed Shamim, Kalimuddin of Aligarh, Barabanki Vivek Dwivedi have been arrested.
The SSP said that the accused Amit and Rehan have admitted that through their partner Shamim, they fabricate fake documents by manipulating the documents of the borrowers and applying photographs, Aadhar cards of their partners Anand and Anil. Through these fake documents, banks and finance companies used to issue loans to them to buy two and four wheelers from the agencies . Then Vivek, Piyush and Akash sell the vehicles through Gaurav Dwivedi. They have been doing this work for three years.
Police recovered two-wheelers, four-wheelers and fake documents from the accused. All seven accused have been sent to jail.
