Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has decided to honor actor Ashok Saraf with Maharashtra Bhushan Award for the year 2023 for his contribution in the field of art.
After this the Chief Minister spoke to Ashok Saraf and congratulated him. Congratulating Ashok, Shinde has said that with his acting, he has created many shades of not only comedy but also serious to villainous tendencies and has impressed the audience.

Talking to the media, Ashok Saraf said, ‘I have very mixed feelings. It is a pleasure to receive this award. It is a big thing for me that today I am sitting with those great people who have received this award. I believe that “Maharashtra Bhushan” is the number one award of Maharashtra. I have been doing films, plays and serials for the last 50 years and I am very happy that somewhere my hard work has paid off and the audience has also appreciated it.
Ashok Saraf said, ‘Now there is a new and different way of working. So keep doing better and better because whatever I am today is because of you the audience. I have to keep working for this.” Along with this, he also commented on the happiness of his wife i.e. Nivedita Saraf and Ashok Saraf also remembered his friend in Marathi film industry and late actor Laxmikant Berde.
