Lucknow, 25 February: The day after the state government postponed the police recruitment exam due to a paper leak, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Sunday that the situation will be investigated for foul play and those involved would be punished appropriately.

Examinees erupted in excitement on Saturday as the administration formally announced that the test had been cancelled. Speaking at a ceremony held at Lucknow’s Lok Bhavan to deliver appointment letters to candidates selected for over 1,800 vacant positions across several government ministries, Adityanath claimed the act amounted to meddling with the destinies of the state’s young.

CM Adityanath called the paper leak a ‘national sin’ and stated, “We have always believed that if the recruitment process is not transparent, it amounts to playing with the future of talented youth, forcing them to migrate. Injustice to young people is a national evil. As a result, we implemented a zero-tolerance policy against such individuals from the start, dealing with them in the tightest and harshest manner whenever the scenario occurred,” according to CM Yogi.

He referred to those engaged in the leak as ‘deceitful individuals’ and stated that they were exploiting technology to carry out their evil plans, emphasizing the government’s determination to stop any such attempts.

Congratulating the young chosen in various sectors to serve the state, the chief minister stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is also the purpose of the double-engine government. “The government is working tirelessly to ensure that every youth receives his rights in a fair and transparent manner. As a consequence, more than 6 lakh youth have been given work in the state’s government ministries in a transparent way during the previous seven years,” the CM said.

He also mentioned the investment proposals worth Rs. 40 lakh crore received at the UP Global Investors Summit 2023 and the launch of projects worth Rs. 10,24,000 crore at the Ground Breaking Ceremony 2024. CM Yogi stated that the projects launched during GBC@4.0 will create jobs for 34 lakh youths once completed.

“Earlier, these youths used to go to Maharashtra, Delhi, Bengaluru, Tamil Nadu in search of jobs and employment, but today they do not need to go anywhere as they are getting jobs in their own districts and states,” he said.

He urged the newly selected candidates to carry out their responsibilities honestly and to focus on the development of the state and the country while contributing to the realization of Viksit BHARAT’s vision (developed India). He also asked recruits to be sensitive to the impoverished and downtrodden.

“Make sure you arrive at your office on time and accomplish your chores in order of importance. Don’t leave any files waiting. Procrastination frequently results in a backlog of work, delaying progress and subjecting those responsible to disciplinary action, according to the CM. “You achieved this milestone with the love and blessings of your parents, teachers, friends, and well-wishers. However, this should not be considered a goal. It’s time for you to put out your best effort. Your hard work and strong performance in the first ten years of your position will also determine the department’s future direction,” he continued.
