Kanpur, June 18: Met department has predicted the possibility of sudden rain with strong winds and lightning, thunder in 18 districts of Uttar Pradesh including Kanpur division.
This information was given by Dr S.N. Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur on Tuesday.
He said that there is a possibility of rain with thunder, lightning and sudden strong winds at a speed of 30-40 kilometers in Prayagraj, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Pratapgarh, Chitrakoot, Mahoba, Banda, Kaushambi, Hamirpur, Fatehpur, Jalaun, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Kanpur, Lalitpur, Jhansi, Kanpur Dehat, Unnao.
Dr Pandey said that in such weather, after leaving the house, people should drive their vehicles very carefully on the road. If the wind blows at a high speed, slow down the speed of your vehicle, if possible, stand at a safe place.
