TMC motormouth MP Mahua Moitra lands in trouble for using cuss words against NCW Chairperson

New Delhi, July 07: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has registered a case against Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra in the case of indecent remarks on the Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW). At present, the police is investigating the entire matter.

According to the Delhi Police Headquarters, a complaint was received from the National Commission for Women, alleging that a tweet has been reposted by MP Mahua Moitra, which is an offense under Section 79 of the Indian Justice Code-2023.

Taking cognizance of this complaint and after preliminary investigation of its content, the Special Cell has registered a case under Section 79 and started investigation.

It is noteworthy that NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma had reached Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh to meet the victims of the accident. In this context, Moitra had commented on a video posted on X. In this video, Rekha Sharma was seen arriving at the scene after the stampede in Hathras. Moitra had made an indecent comment on this. In this case, the NCW had taken cognizance of the indecent comment made by Moitra against its chairperson Rekha Sharma and filed a complaint against her.
