Monsoon to remain weak in Uttar Pradesh for 4 days, temp likely to rise

Kanpur, July 15: Monsoon has once again turned away from Uttar Pradesh and there is no possibility of much rain in the next four days. However, there are chances of drizzle at the local level. Along with this, light to moderate rain will continue in the ‘Terai areas’ of Ganga due to moist winds coming from the Bay of Bengal.

Meanwhile, movement of clouds will continue in the sky. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain after four days.

Dr SN Sunil Pandey, Meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad Agricultural Technology University, said on Monday that the axis of the monsoon which was in Uttar Pradesh has now shifted towards South India. According to the information received from the observatory, the axis of the monsoon may come towards North India on July 20. In such a situation, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Uttar Pradesh only after 20. Meanwhile, there will be drizzle locally and the temperature will increase. Due to which the humid heat will remain. However, there are chances of light to moderate rain in the areas of Ganga Terai.

He told that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was 37.2 and the minimum temperature was 28.8 degree Celsius, which was 3.2 and 1.6 degree Celsius more than normal respectively. The relative humidity in the morning was 81 and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 55 percent. The wind direction was north-east, whose average speed was 6.1 km per hour. According to the weather forecast, in the next five days in Kanpur, there is a possibility of only scattered rain, showers only in some pockets amid the movement of light clouds. Along with this, humid heat is also likely to remain.
