Tehran, July 31: Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the dreaded terrorist outfit Hamas, was finally killed in an attack on his residence in Iran’s capital Tehran. Haniyeh’s bodyguard was also killed in this attack. After Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hamas has also confirmed the death of both.

Hamas has said that both died in Israel’s airstrike on Wednesday. It is worth mentioning that Haniyeh attended the swearing-in ceremony of Iran’s new president on Tuesday. He also met Iran’s supreme leader. Analysts on Iranian state television have blamed Israel for this.

Note that in April this year, Israeli security forces killed Haniyeh’s three sons. All three died during an airstrike in the Gaza Strip. Israel had claimed that Haniya’s three sons Amir, Hazem and Mohammad were involved in terrorist activities. Hamas terrorists carried out air strikes on Israel at midnight on October 7 last year. About 1,200 people were killed in this attack. Since then Israel has waged a war against Hamas. The Israeli army is continuously taking military action against Hamas in Gaza.

Hamas chief Ismail Haniya was born in 1962 in the Al-Shati refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. He was the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority from 2006 to 2007. In 2017, he was made the Hamas chief in place of Khalid Meshaal.

Earlier, Israel attacked Hezbollah bases in Beirut. The Israeli army said that the terrorist commander responsible for the rocket attack on the Golan Heights was targeted. Hezbollah military commander Fuad Shukr was killed in this attack.
