Lucknow, 04 August: Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh will organize ‘Kakori Train Action Centenary Festival’ on the 100th anniversary of Kakori Train Action.
On the initiative of CM Yogi Adityanath, the present and future generation will be inspired through the saga of Kakori and the bravery of freedom fighters. For this, programs will also be held with the participation of school children, teenagers and youth. These will include competitions like general knowledge, drawing-painting, calligraphy-essay, speech and debate. Their winners will be awarded with cash prizes and certificates in the program of 15 August at the district and state level.
Programs will start from 9 August
The inauguration of the 100th anniversary of Kakori Train Action will begin from 9 August. The centenary festival will be celebrated throughout the year with various activities in the entire state. For this event on a wide scale, participation and cooperation of teachers and students of government and private institutions related to basic education, secondary education, higher education, technical education, vocational education and medical education will also be taken. For this, many competitions will be organized at district and state level. People will be made
aware of the events of ‘Prabhatpheri’ and Kakori Train Action.
In the meeting held on Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had instructed that under the Kakori Train Action Centenary Festival, ‘Prabhatpheri’ of children of educational institutions should be taken out. Its distance should be half a kilometer to one kilometer, but children should walk with pictures of the heroes of independence and placards with patriotic slogans written on them. The feeling of patriotism should be instilled in them. Along with this, the headmaster and teachers should also make the children aware of the stories of these heroes in the prayer meetings of the schools.
The competitions will be based on the heroes, events and places of the freedom struggle.
CM Yogi had instructed that by organizing many competitions, the youth should also be made aware of the glorious past of India. For this, many competitions should also be organized. The Culture Department will organize a general knowledge competition based on Kakori Train Action, Mainpuri Conspiracy Case, events of the freedom struggle from 1857 to 1947, places and heroes of freedom. There will be a painting competition based on this for teenagers and youth. Excellent and award winning works will be displayed in various monuments, auditoriums, District Magistrate and other government offices. There will be calligraphy competition for children aged five to 12 years and essay competition for teenagers. Their subject will also be based on the heroes, events and places related to the freedom struggle. Speech and debate competition based on the inspirational events of Kakori Train Action and heroes of Kakori will be organized at college, higher education institute and university level.

These competitions will be held at the district and state level. A selection committee will be constituted by the DM for the selection of winners at the district level. The winners will be awarded with cash prizes in the program on 15th August (Independence Day). Certificates will also be provided to the winners.
