Mumbai: 7 people of the same family killed in a fire in a house in Mumbai

Mumbai, October 06: Seven people of the same family died in a fire that broke out in the early hours of Sunday in a house located in Siddharth Nagar of Chembur area in Mumbai. The dead include three small children and two men and two women. As soon as the incident was reported, four vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot and extinguished the fire. The incident has spread sensation in the area.

According to the police, a fire broke out in a house located in Siddharth Nagar of Chembur today at around 4:30 am. At that time all the members of the house were fast asleep. But as soon as the fire started in the house, all the members tried to save themselves, but could not get out of the flames.

The police said that as soon as the incident was reported, four vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot and somehow took all the family members out of the scene and admitted them to the Rajawadi Hospital. But the doctors declared everyone dead. It is learned that all the deceased were members of the Gupta family. The team of Chembur Police Station is trying to identify the dead along with investigating the cause of the fire.
