Yogi government issued order for distribution of free LPG cylinders
Free LPG will be distributed as soon as the order is issued
Lucknow, 17 October: Like previous year, the Yogi government has issued a government order to give free LPG cylinders on this Diwali as well.
With this move of the Yogi government, 1.86 crore families of the state will directly benefit from the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. At the same time, after the order of Chief Minister Yogi,
the distribution of free LPG cylinders has been started before Diwali.
Last year, 1.85 crore beneficiaries took the benefit under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana . Free LPG cylinders are distributed twice a year on the occasion of Holi and Diwali respectively . Under this , a government order has been issued to distribute free LPG cylinders before Diwali .
Last year where 1.85 crore beneficiary families and more than 85 lakh women were benefited. This year, the number of beneficiaries has increased to 1.86 crore. For this, the government is spending Rs 1,890 crore on the double engine .
It is worth knowing that under the Ujjwala Yojana, the central government is providing a subsidy of Rs 300 to the beneficiaries while the rest of the exemption is given by the state government. Beneficiaries under the scheme 14.2 kg.
