Jaunpur, Tuesday, 22: The Police on Tuesday arrested a man accused of allegedly raping an assistant teacher posted in a Composite School in Barsathi police station area for four years and extorting Rs 11 lakh. The arrested accused is Vinod Kumar, a resident of Nigoh.
According to the police, the teacher is a resident of Varanasi district and is posted as an assistant teacher in a school in the area. She lives in a rented house in Nigoh Bazar. It is alleged that Vinod Kumar, a resident of Nigoh village, made obscene videos and photographs. Vinod blackmailed the teacher and threatened to spread the photo virally and continued to have physical relations from 2021 to 2024.
As per the police, meanwhile, he also took 11 lakh rupees from the teacher gradually. When the teacher asked for her money, it is alleged that he again threatened to spread the video and photo viral and threatened to kill her if she asked for money. Complaint about the woman’s exhaustion was reported to the police.
Police station head Rajesh Yadav said that based on the teacher’s complaint, the accused was arrested from his house after filing a case. The accused deals in furniture in Nigoh Bazar.
