New Delhi, 7 November: India has once again urged Bangladesh to make strong arrangements for the safety of minorities, especially Hindus. India has recently expressed concern over the attack on the Hindu community in Chittagong (Bangladesh).
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a weekly press conference that it is in our knowledge that properties and business establishments of Hindus have been looted in Chittagong after inflammatory posts targeting Hindu religious organizations on social media. It is believed that extremist elements are behind such posts and these illegal criminal activities. This is bound to create more tension within the community.
He said that India once again urged the Bangladesh government to take strict steps to ensure the safety of Hindus and take action against extremist elements.
