Criminal absconding from Maharashtra Police custody in UP STF net

Lucknow, 10 November: The UP Special Task Force (STF) team arrested the criminal absconding from Thane Police custody of Maharashtra from Lucknow area on Saturday. After the legal procedure, the criminal will be handed over to the Maharashtra Police.

Additional Director General of Police (ADG) of UP STF Amitabh Yash told on Sunday that accused Prince Kailash Vishwakarma who had absconded from Thane Police custody of Maharashtra has been arrested from Lucknow. He is a resident of Indira Nagar, Lucknow. Two illegal pistols have been recovered from him. The accused had absconded from the custody of Maharashtra Police and the Thane Police was searching for him.

On interrogation, accused Prince Kailash Vishwakarma told that he had gone to Maharashtra by train to deliver two pistols provided by his friend Sajan Kumar alias Deepak, resident of Bahraich, as per the instructions of Sajan alias Deepak, where the police of Chitalsar Manpada police station, Thane, arrested him along with the pistols on November 5.

On the morning of November 6, he escaped by dodging the police and came to Lucknow and was hiding by changing his place. He also told that his friend Sajan Kumar alias Deepak had also gone to Maharashtra by train with him to supply illegal pistols to a different person, who was arrested by VP Road Police Station, Brihanmumbai Police on November 5 with two pistols and cartridges.

The arrested accused has been lodged to Police Station Indiranagar, Lucknow. Further legal action is being taken by Sub Inspector Pankaj Lahane of Maharashtra Police.
