Guru Tegh Bahadur protected Sanatan from foreign invaders: Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow, 6 December: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to the ninth Guru of the Guru tradition, Guru Tegh Bahadur, on his Balidan Diwas at the Yahiaganj Gurudwara. During this, CM Yogi, while paying tribute to his sacrifice and memories, said that the followers of the Sikh sect, with their sadhana and strength, not only provided security to their community as well as the entire country and the entire Sanatan Dharma, but also provided them protection for a long time.

He said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Maharaj had saved Kashmir at a time when the Sanatan followers there were ordered to convert by foreign invaders.

CM Yogi said that Guru Tegh Bahadur had given a new life to Kashmiri Pandits. After the order of conversion, the Kashmiri Pandits who were wandering for safety were not only given a new life but they were also told to tell the oppressors to first make our Guru accept Islam.

CM Yogi said that Guru Tegh Bahadur always gave priority to the country and religion and never bowed his head in front of any foreign invader.

CM Yogi said that what kind of a period it must have been when a foreign invader Babur was committing atrocities inside the country, Guru Nanak Dev ji raised his voice against him.

CM said that who does not know those pages of history when rising above this tradition of devotion, he worked to give a new direction to the contemporary society with time. From there, we reached Guru Govind Singh Maharaj, carrying forward a strong rule of martyrdom and sacrifice. He became a divine bundle of power and did not shy away from sacrificing himself not only for the protection of Sanatan Dharma but also for the protection of India.

CM Yogi said that before his martyrdom, Guru Tegh Bahadur also gave the country a powerful power like Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj to protect Sanatan Dharma, to protect the country and religion. Four of his Sahibzaades sacrificed their lives.

Beware of those who create a rift between Hindus and Sikhs

CM Yogi said that there is a need to be careful of those who want to create a rift between Hindus and Sikhs. Those people are trying to present history in a distorted manner. We have to prepare ourselves in this regard while keeping a sense of reverence towards the Guru tradition. This Guru tradition from Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj and the tradition of martyrdom that the Sikh community has given for the country and religion, it gives us vitality. We have divine personalities of the Guru tradition, their sadhana is the basis of the strength of all of us.

On this occasion, Minister of State in the Uttar Pradesh Government Sardar Baldev Singh Aulakh, member of the Uttar Pradesh Minority Commission Sardar Parvinder Singh, along with many officials associated with the Gurdwara Committee and many dignitaries were present.
