Prayagraj, 8 December: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the Railways has been working for two and a half years to ensure the smooth conduct of Mahakumbh. About five thousand crore rupees have been spent for this so far. Devotees will not face any problem in coming and going. For this, 523 ticket counters have been set up. More than seven new platforms have been constructed. Three thousand trains will be run during Mahakumbh.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was talking to journalists here on Sunday. Railway Minister Vaishnav has reached Prayagraj to inspect Jhunsi railway station and new railway bridge.

The Railway Minister said that three thousand special trains will be operated to bring and take the devotees safely. The number of ticket counters has been increased so that the pressure of the crowd does not increase. He said that the Railways will make about two crore devotees travel. Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, preparations have been completed. New platforms have also been built so that the passengers do not have to face any inconvenience.

He said that coordination has been arranged so that there is no problem in the work of Northeast Railway, Northern Railway, North Central Railway in Prayagraj. Along with this, full attention has been given to maintain better coordination of the three railway zones. More than 7 new platforms have been built in view of the crowd of passengers. Along with this, more than 23 holding areas have been created, arrangements have been made for the stay of passengers on both sides of the station. He told that a ring circuit has been constructed. 21 railway flyovers and rail underpasses have been built in Prayagraj area.
