Manhunt for the accused of Sambhal violence continues in 5 states including Delhi, Uttarakhand, tells DIG

Moradabad, 09 December: According to the police, manhunt for the absconding accused of Sambhal violence is being carried out in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Delhi, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh apart from Uttar Pradesh. 10-11 police teams are continuously conducting raids. Along with the police, the intelligence system, ATS is also working hard to collect information about the smugglers of cartridges manufactured in Pakistan and America recovered from the place of riot in Sambhal.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muniraj Ji told journalists on Monday that now there is complete peace in Sambhal. Detailed information is being collected about the foreign cartridges recovered from the place of Sambhal violence.

He told that on the morning of November 24 last month, a riot occurred during the survey of Jama Masjid in Sambhal. During this, stone pelting and firing took place, in which five people died. So far 35 accused including three women have been sent to jail in the case. With the help of cctv footage, the police have released photos of 400 people who had pelted stones on the police administration. More than a hundred accused have been identified in this.

DIG apprised that police are raiding the houses of these accused in search of them, but most of the houses are locked. In the houses which are not locked, only women or children are present. 10 police teams have been deployed to arrest the accused. These teams are raiding the houses of their acquaintances and relatives in other districts of the state as well as in other states in search of the hundred identified accused. Some people also work outside, so police teams are also raiding their workplaces. Some suspects have also been detained. They are being questioned.

In this regard, Deputy Inspector General of Police Muniraj ji said that there is complete peace in Sambhal now. Police teams have started working rapidly to arrest the accused. Soon the accused will be arrested and the faces of those who created the ruckus in Sambhal will be exposed. Detailed information is being collected about the recovered foreign cartridges.
