Lucknow, December 14: The 350th martyrdom year of the ninth Guru of Sikhism, Tegh Bahadur, will be celebrated throughout the state. This year-long event will be inaugurated on December 26 on the special occasion of Veer Bal Diwas from the Chief Minister’s residence in Lucknow, which will also be broadcast live in all the gurudwaras of the state. It will conclude with a grand ceremony next year.
In a special meeting on Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the sacrifice of Sikh Gurus for the establishment of the country and religion is exemplary, so the festivals of Sikh Gurus should be celebrated traditionally with gaiety throughout the state.
He also directed that from the next session, the immortal saga of sacrifice and martyrdom of Sikh Gurus will be made a part of the school curriculum. Not only this, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, a book based on the biography of Guru Tegh Bahadur will also be prepared. On this special occasion, a Maha Yagya of 11000 Sahaj Paath will also be performed.
Invite prominent Granthis on Veer Bal Diwas
The Chief Minister directed that special celebrations of Veer Bal Diwas will be held in the entire state. Guru Granth Sahib should be recited, all Granthis should also be invited in this program. Honorable MPs, Mayors, MLAs, Legislative Council members, public representatives and dignitaries should also be invited in this event to be held in all the Gurudwaras of all the districts.
Poetry, essay and debate competitions should also be organized
The Chief Minister said that all Sikh Gurus are our source of inspiration. Make their biography and sacrifice a part of the curriculum. Poetry, essay and debate competitions should be organized on topics related to them. The winning participants should be rewarded.
