Lucknow, 25 December: The Uttar Pradesh government has promoted ninety five officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) on Wednesday. Seven IAS officers including Azamgarh Divisional Commissioner Manish Chauhan and Food Commissioner Saurabh Babu have been promoted from Secretary to Principal Secretary post.
At the same time, 38 IAS including Lucknow District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar, Kanpur Nagar District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh have been promoted from District Magistrate and Special Secretary level to Secretary level. 50 IAS of 2010, 2011 and 2012 batch have been given selection grade. Special Secretary of the department Vijay Kumar issued the promotion order on Wednesday.
Reshuffling on the cards
After the promotion of seven IAS officers of 2000 batch and 38 IAS officers of 2009 batch, there will be a big change in the bureaucracy of UP soon. District magistrates of about a dozen districts including Lucknow and Kanpur Nagar will be changed. Principal secretaries will also be changed in some departments. Changes can happen by the last week of January.
Secretary promoted to Principal Secretary
2000 batch IAS officers Saurabh Babu, Manish Chauhan, Ranjan Kumar, Anurag Yadav and Ranveer Prasad have been promoted from Secretary to Principal Secretary. Apart from these, 2000 batch IAS officers Amit Gupta and Deepak Agarwal have also been promoted.
These officers of 2009 batch became secretaries
18 IAS officers of 2009 batch have been promoted from the post of District Magistrate (Special Secretary) to the post of Secretary. Lucknow District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar, Rupesh Kumar, Urban Development Department Director Anuj Jha, Mala Shrivastava, Nitin Bansal, Masoom Ali Sarwar, Vijay Kiran Anand, Bhanuchandra Goswami, Prakash Bindu, S. Rajalingam, Vivek, Bhupendra S. Chaudhary, Vaibhav Shrivastava, Ajit Kumar, Pramod Kumar Upadhyay, Sangeeta Singh, Shubhra Saxena, Aditi Singh and Indra Vikram Singh have been promoted.
