Lucknow, January 8: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday that India’s ‘Sanatan Dharma’ is believed to be the oldest religion in the world. It cannot be compared with any religion or sect. It has a legacy of thousands of years. Its cultural and spiritual events are also equally ancient. The tradition of Sanatan is higher than the sky, it cannot be compared.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was speaking at the ‘Mahakumbh Mahasammelan’ program organized by a private news channel.

Throwing light on the importance of Mahakumbh, Yogi said that after the Devasura war, drops of nectar fell at four holy places – Prayagraj, Haridwar, Ujjain and Nashik. The events of Mahakumbh at these places have been an opportunity to determine the knowledge, thinking and social direction of India.

He said that Mahakumbh is not just a religious event, but it is a symbol of India’s spiritual heritage and national unity.

Yogi said that during the organization of Maha Kumbh, the sages of India used to gather and reflect on the social and political conditions of that time. This event is not only a respect for tradition, but it is also necessary to preserve it for future generations.

Mahakumbh 2025 is a confluence of heritage and development – Yogi

Praising the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi said that the organization of Maha Kumbh is a symbol of a wonderful confluence of heritage and development in India.

Not only the citizens of the country, but people from all over the world are also being attracted by this event. This is a golden opportunity to present India’s cultural richness globally.

We will take back every inch of land from those who have occupied land in the name of Waqf

Taking a tough stand on the issue of land occupation in the name of Waqf Board, the Chief Minister said that it is difficult to understand whether it is a Waqf Board or a board of land mafias. Our government has amended the Waqf Act and is getting every inch of land investigated. Land will be taken back from those who have occupied land in the name of Waqf and housing, educational institutions and hospitals will be built for the poor.

He said that the tradition of Kumbh is much older than Waqf. The height of Sanatan Dharma is higher than the sky and its depth is deeper than the ocean. It cannot be compared to any religion or faith.

Sharp attack on opposition

Chief Minister Yogi also made a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party and its leaders. He said that Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia had said that if you want to understand India, then read the tradition of Ram, Krishna and Shiva. The leaders who do politics in the name of Lohia ji never understood his words.

Referring to the development of Ayodhya, he said that we made Ayodhya the center of development and heritage. Those who were opposing the development of Ayodhya do not have the moral right to go there.
