Lucknow, 09 January: A woman named Usha Sharma, resident of Rajendra Nagar, has been admitted to Balrampur Hospital after showing symptoms of the Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) in Lucknow. Chief Medical Superintendent of Balrampur Hospital Dr Sanjay Tewatia has confirmed this.
Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Sanjay Tewatia told the media that at present the health department is keeping an eye on every person showing symptoms of HMPV virus. Meanwhile, a case of a woman has come to Balrampur Hospital from private Charak Hospital, in which symptoms of HMPV virus have been reported. For this, the woman has been admitted and re-examined and the test sample has been sent to King George’s Medical University (KGMU). From where the report will come by Saturday morning.
Dr Sanjay Tewatia said that the woman’s family has been asked to take any medical action only after the report comes. At present, the woman has been kept in a separate ward and respiratory treatment has been started. The woman is being looked after by a team of doctors.
