Mumbai: The trailer of the much-awaited film Ramayan: The Legend of Prince Rama has been released, which has created a wave of excitement among fans and cinema lovers. This film is a visual masterpiece based on the Hindu religious text saint Valmiki’s Ramayana.

The trailer shows spectacular visuals and battle scenes, showing the audience all the places like Ayodhya, where Prince Rama was born, Mithila, where he married Sita, the forest of Panchavati, where Rama spent his exile with Sita and Lakshmana and Lanka, where the historic battle between Lord Rama and Ravana took place. All this is beautifully presented in Japanese anime style.

This film, conceived by Yugo Sako and directed by Koichi Sasaki and Ram Mohan, is a special India-Japan joint project, in which more than 450 artists have used about one lakh hand-made cells. The result is a visual masterpiece that blends the excellence of Japanese art and the age-old tradition of Indian storytelling.

The film is set to release in Indian cinemas for the first time in 4K on January 24, 2025. It will be distributed theatrically by Geek Pictures India, AA Films and Excel Entertainment.
