Lucknow, January 10: Minister of State for Excise Department Nitin Agarwal said that road safety is a collective responsibility. Uttar Pradesh Excise Department and Uttar Pradesh Police have jointly started the “Never Drink and Drive” campaign. This campaign gives an important message to all.
Launching the campaign on the appeal of the International Spirits and Wines Association of India (ISWAI), Minister of State Nitin Agarwal said that one should never drink and drive. We should give priority to safety over convenience. On this occasion, Inspector General of Traffic and Road Safety of Uttar Pradesh Police Subhash Chandra Dubey said that our citizens should be safe on the roads, Uttar Pradesh Police is committed to this. People will be made aware under the campaign about not driving vehicles on the road while intoxicated.
Inspector General Subhash Dubey said that intoxication is a risk to human life. Driving a vehicle while intoxicated is illegal. We appeal to every citizen to follow the law, be responsible and never drive a vehicle while intoxicated.

It is worth mentioning that the weekly National Road Safety Campaign is starting from January 11. On the eve of this, the Never Drink and Drive campaign was started by organizing a program in Uttar Pradesh, in which Assistant Police Commissioner Vikas Pandey, Excise Commissioner Adarsh โโSingh and officials of Police and Excise Department were present.
