Ayodhya, January 11: Shri Ram Lalla’s ‘abhishek’ and ‘maha aarti’ program was concluded on Saturday on Pratishtha Dwadashi, the first anniversary of the inauguration of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple.
The sanctum sanctorum has been decorated with flowers. Ram Lalla ( infant form of Lord Ram) was made to wear a Pitambari embroidered with gold and silver threads brought from Delhi. After the grand decoration, a grand aarti was performed at 12:20 pm. After this, 56 dishes were offered to the deity.
This festival, which started on Pratishtha Dwadashi, will continue for three consecutive days. During this, various types of religious rituals and cultural programs have been organized.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also participated in Ram Lalla’s one year consecration program. After the Maha Aarti, Yogi reached Ram temple directly from the helipad. Yogi Adityanath sought blessings from the Ayodhya king Shri Ram Lalla and performed the aarti.
After the formal ‘darshan-pujan’, the Chief Minister took blessings from Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, President of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Yogi also took ‘prasad’ with the saints. Earlier, on the arrival of the Chief Minister in Ayodhya, Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi, MLA Ved Prakash Gupta, Ramchandra Yadav and other public representatives and BJP leaders welcomed the Chief Minister at Ram katha Park.
On the occasion of Pratishtha Dwadashi, a huge crowd of devotees has gathered in Ayodhya since 6 am. The ‘mahabhishek’ of Ram Lalla in the sanctum sanctorum started at 11 am on Saturday. More than one and a half hundred dignitaries including Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, Trustee Dr Anil Mishra were present in the temple during the celebration.
One year of the inauguration of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple has been completed today on January 11 (Paush Shukla-12). A three-day celebration has started on this occasion. The Tirtha Kshetra Trust said that many religious and cultural programs have been organized on all three days.
