Mahakumbhnagar, 22 January: Numerous decisions were taken in the public interest in the cabinet meeting held at Mahakumbh Triveni Complex under the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Under this, Prayagraj Region Development (PRD) will be established, under which the surrounding districts will be combined and their planned development will be done. Medical colleges will be constructed in Baghpat, Hathras and Kasganj districts of the western region. Prayagraj, Varanasi and Agra Municipal Corporations will be able to issue their bonds, which will improve the financial condition of the corporations. Also, a six-lane expressway will be built from Mirzapur to Prayagraj.
Regarding the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday in Mahakumbh, the Chief Minister said that approval has been given to build medical colleges in Baghpat, Hathras and Kasganj on PPP mode in the state. Work on them will be started soon. A KGMU centre will be built in the name of Atal ji in Balrampur. Prayagraj, Varanasi and Agra Municipal Corporations will be able to issue bonds. So far bonds are being issued only for Lucknow and Ghaziabad Municipal Corporations. Bonds will be issued for a super specialty hospital for Prayagraj. After the construction of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Kashi is making a mark on the global stage.
Yogi said that the process of making Varanasi-Vindhya a development region will also be taken forward. This will play a big role in the creation of employment here not only from the tourism point of view. Action is also being taken to connect Chitrakoot and Prayagraj with Ganga Express. A network of expressways will be laid
Yogi Adityanath said that the Maha Kumbh, keeping in mind the cultural development of Prayagraj as well as the entire region, is the vision of the Prime Minister. The Ganga Expressway will connect Prayagraj to Mirzapur and Mirzapur to Purvanchal Expressway via Sant Ravidas Nagar, Kashi, Chandauli and Ghazipur. Apart from this, a mini expressway from Varanasi and Chandauli will be connected to the National Expressway connecting Sonbhadra.
Defense policy will be made afresh
The Chief Minister said that especially the important matters of the state, the policy related to defense has also been considered. The existing defense policy was made in 2018, there has been a discussion about making it afresh. Along with this, the investments made in the state under FDI have also been considered. He said that funds have been arranged to provide smart phones and tablets to the youth.
Nine crore devotees took bath
Chief Minister Yogi said that everyone is seeing the importance of Prayagraj. Prayagraj is visible on the global stage. Within the last one week, nine and a quarter crore devotees have come and taken sacred bath in Prayagraj Sangam. It is unforgettable and unimaginable.
