UP ATS arrests a suspect from Sultanpur

Sultanpur, January 25: Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (UP ATS) Ayodhya unit has arrested a suspicious youth from Kadipur. The arrest here has been made on the information of the security investigation agency active in the security of Mahakumbh. Meanwhile, probe revealed that man is a resident of Punjab and was living here with fake documents. He was trying to flee abroad.

CO Vinay Gautam said on Saturday that based on an information, the Ayodhya unit of the ATS has arrested a suspect living in a rented house in Taukalpur Nagara. The documents found with him revealed that the youth is Mansingh, a resident of Fazilka district of Punjab. He had got a fake identity card made by claiming himself to be a resident of Taukalpur Nagara in Sultanpur. He had deposited fake Aadhaar card, election card and birth certificate issued from Budhanpur in Azamgarh in Surapur branch of Bank of Baroda.

When investigated, it was found that no person with this name lives here. After this, the ATS started investigating the case. The youth was taken into custody and questioned, in which it was found that he was trying to go abroad. For this, he had applied for a passport from Sultanpur address in April last year. ATS has registered a case against the accused in the police station. Also, investigation of the recovered fake documents has been started.
