Tragic: 4 of family from Lucknow on the way to Maha Kumbh died, 5 injured in road accident

Raebareli, 28 January: In a tragic accident, four devotees on the way to Prayagraj for the participation in Maha Kumbh died, while five were seriously injured on Tuesday morning when the car of the devotees collided with a tractor coming from the front.

The police reached the spot on information and took the bodies in their custody. The injured are being treated in the district hospital. After the incident, the tractor driver fled from the spot.

A car went out of control and collided with a tractor coming from the front near a restaurant in Munshiganj on the Raebareli-Prayagraj National Highway. The car was badly damaged in the incident. The police and local people who reached the spot somehow got everyone out of the car. Everyone was rushed to the district hospital, where the doctor declared Ashish, Dipendra, Maya and Rajni dead, while Shubham, Anuj, Lalita, Kavita and Prabha Devi are being treated. All the deceased have been identified. The occupants of the car were residents of Telibagh in Lucknow and were going to take a bath in the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.

Additional District Magistrate Siddharth Kumar said that there were eight people in the Tata Qualis car who were going from Lucknow to Prayagraj. Four people have died in this. The injured are being treated.
