25 thousand bounty arrested in Sitapur police encounter
Sitapur, 07 February: The district’s The Special Operation Group (SOG) and Talgaon police station conducted a joint operation on Friday morning and arrested a criminal with a reward of Rs 25 thousand in an encounter.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) Sitapur Chakresh Mishra informed that a case has been registered against accused Mehboob Alam alias Bala, resident of Nawab Saha Purwa, in Manpur police station under the Cow Act.
SP told that he was wanted in this case, on which a reward of Rs 25 thousand was announced. Police arrested him in an encounter on Friday morning. 500 rupees cash, a motorcycle, pistol etc. have been recovered from the accused’s possession.
The Superintendent of Police said that the arrested accused is a cunning and habitual criminal. About 12 cases are registered against him for serious crimes like cow slaughter, theft, burglary, burglary and possession of illegal weapons.
50k prize shooter injured, arrested in Azamgarh encounter
The police of Bardah police station arrested Ashish alias Chhotu, a 50 thousand prize shooter, during an encounter early on Friday. He was injured by a police bullet. The police have recovered a pistol, cartridges, cash and a car from the shooter’s possession.
Last year on February 8, 2024, Chandelal Yadav had filed a complaint in Bardah police station alleging that his elder father’s son Ranvijay Yadav had been murdered. In this case, a case was registered against the accused under murder, conspiracy and other serious sections.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Ashish alias Chhotu resident Dhangai District Rohtas Police Station Vikramganj, State Bihar is involved in the murder. Ashish had worked as a shooter in the murder and was absconding. After this, the police had announced a reward of 50 thousand rupees against Ashish. Since then the police was searching for him.
Under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Nagar Shailendra Lal, the police of Bardah police station cordoned off the area near Kodahara crossing at 4:30 am on Friday morning. He started firing on seeing the police. In response, the police also fired. The police bullet hit the shooter Ashish’s leg and he got injured. The police arrested him.
The police recovered a Hyundai car, a country-made pistol of 315 bore, a shell, two live cartridges and Rs 1200 in cash from the arrested shooter.
Cow smuggler injured and arrested in Fatehpur police encounter
Fatehpur, 07 February: The Jahanabad and Bakewar police in the district have arrested a history-sheeter in an encounter on Friday. He was injured after being shot in the leg. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment under custody.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Dhawal Jaiswal told reporters that a joint team of Jehanabad police station and Bakewar police station under the leadership of Bindki Circle Officer (CO) was conducting a checking drive near Taj Hotel, town Jahanabad. Tip-off was received that a person was planning to slaughter a cow near Teja Nagar, about a hundred meters before the old Rind river bridge. On this information, the police team reached the incident site Teja Nagar’s jungles and saw that a calf was tied. A person was going to slaughter it. When the police team surrounded and asked the miscreant to surrender, the accused opened fire on the police team.
SP further told that in the retaliatory action of the police in self-defense, the accused Shahabuddin, a resident of Qazi Tola, was shot in the right leg. When he was injured, the police took him into custody and sent him to CHC Jehanabad for treatment.
The SP said that the accused is a notorious cow slaughter criminal. 21 criminal cases are registered against him in Jehanabad and Chandpur police stations. The police is taking legal action by registering a case against the accused under serious sections.
Two cow smugglers from Amroha injured and arrested in Ghaziabad police encounter
Ghaziabad, 07 February: The SWAT team rural and Thana Tronica City Police have arrested two cow smugglers from Amroha district during an encounter on Thursday night. Both have been shot in the legs by the police. They have been admitted to the government hospital for treatment.
ACP Surya Bali Maurya said that the accused were involved in cow slaughter in Tronica City area about 20 days ago by throwing the remains of slaughtered cows. Illegal weapons and knives, ropes etc. related to the cow slaughter incident have been recovered from their possession.
ACP Maurya apprised that the accused are Sajid alias Sadua resident of Ujhari police station Saidangali district Amroha (present address Peeli Patti Janta Colony Thana Welcome Jafrabad Delhi) and Bajju alias Ajju alias Wajahat son Babu Qureshi resident of Dhakkha Thana Saidangali Amroha. Sajid has previously been a 25 thousand rupees bounty in a cow slaughter case from Amroha and Bajju has previously been a 15 thousand rupees bounty in a cow slaughter case.
He told that he is accused of throwing the remains of four cows found in Thana Tronica City area. He stole cows from NCR area in Honda City, slaughtered them in Delhi and threw their remains in two plastic bags in a roadside sewer pit in Thana Tronica City area. More than 24 cases including gangster, cow slaughter, theft, attempt to murder, Arms Act etc. are registered against the accused in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Sambhal, Amroha, etc. Information about other criminal history is being collected.
