Ayodhya, 8 February: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won big in the counting of votes of the by-election held on Milkipur assembly seat. BJP’s Chandrabhanu Paswan defeated the Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate Ajit Prasad by a huge margin. The BJP candidate Chandrabhanu Paswan has won by a huge margin of 61,710 votes. BJP’s Chandrabhanu got 1,46,397 votes, while SP’s Ajit Prasad got 84,687 votes.
The situation was such that the SP candidate lost his booth too. After the victory, the BJP candidate reached the counting place and received the certificate. Drums are being played along with flower shower in the BJP office. District in-charge minister Surya Pratap Shahi congratulated everyone for the victory.
Counting of votes started in the Government Inter College of Milkipur Assembly amid tight security from Saturday morning. As soon as the victory of the BJP candidate was confirmed by 61,710 votes in the afternoon, a wave of happiness ran among the BJP workers. Drums started playing everywhere. As soon as the counting of votes started in the morning, the BJP candidate had established a lead. After this, he continued to maintain the lead. On the other hand, the disappointment of the Samajwadi Party workers kept increasing. The situation was such that Samajwadi Party candidate Ajit Prasad lost his booth as well.

After winning, Chandrabhanu Paswan said that this is the victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Now we have to work for the development of the people of Milkipur.
