Lucknow, January 18: Four persons belonging to the same family died under mysterious circumstances Kalyanpur locality in Gudumba police station area on Saturday morning.
The dead include two children and a spouse. It is said that after throttling both children and wife, husband committed suicide by hanging himself. As soon as the information was received, several officers including Police Commissioner Sujeet Pandey reached the spot. Dog squads, fingerprints, forensic experts are also investigating the incident, the police said.
Inspector Ritendra Pratap, in-charge of Gudumba police station, informed that the deceased have been identified as Pintu Gupta(38), his wife Aarti Gupta(28), daughter Neha(07) and son Natik(05).
This family was originally from Varanasi. The house where these people lived in Kalyanpur in Lucknow belongs to Vinay Raghuvanshi. The police are sending all the four bodies for autopsy and are investigating the matter from all angles, the police told.
