This figure is equal to the total population of five powerful countries of the world. This number of people taking a dip in Sangam is more than the population of 193 countries. Only the population of India and China is more than the devotees who have come to Maha Kumbh.
Let us tell you, with the Mahashivratri festival bath, the 45-day long Maha Kumbh will end.
Devotees equal to five powerful countries have arrived: In the Maha Kumbh which started on 13 January, till now about 66 crore devotees have reached Sangam to take a dip. It is equal to the total population of America, Britain, Russia, France and Canada. The population of America is 34.01 crore, Britain 6.84 crore, Russia 14.38 crore, France 6.83 crore and Canada 4.01 crore. In this sense, the population of these five countries has bathed in Maha Kumbh once.
The number of devotees will create a new record: Today is the last day of Maha Kumbh. By 12 noon, 1.01 crore people have bathed. In the last 44 days, about 66 crore devotees took a holy dip in Sangam. The 45-day long Maha Kumbh will conclude with the Maha Shivratri festival bath. It is estimated that 3 crore devotees will arrive on Shivratri today.
Crowd increased on the main bathing festivals: Maha Kumbh started on 13 January with the bath on Paush Purnima. On this day, 1.70 crore people took a holy dip in Sangam. The first Amrit bath was on Makar Sankranti on 14 January, the very next day of this bath. On this day, 3.50 crore devotees became a part of virtue by taking a dip. On 29 January, the second Amrit and the third bath of Maha Kumbh was on the day of Mauni Amavasya. A tragic accident also occurred on this day, in which 30 devotees lost their lives. On the second Amrit Snan, 7.64 crore devotees took a bath. The third and last Amrit Snan was on 03 February Basant Panchami. On this day 2.57 crore devotees reached Prayagraj to take a dip. On 12 February Magh Purnima, the fifth bath of Maha Kumbh was completed. On this day 2.04 crore devotees took a dip of faith. On this day, the Kalpavas that was going on for a month also ended with bathing and donation.
Crowd did not reduce after Vasant Panchami: It is usually believed that the crowd in the fair reduces after the bath on Vasant Panchami. Because after Amrit Snan on Vasant Panchami, the Akharas depart towards their respective destinations. But this time it did not happen. The crowd remained a little less for two days after the bath on Vasant Panchami on 3 February. But the influx of devotees that started reaching Prayagraj from 6 February is continuing till now. On 12 February, 2.04 crore people participated in the bath on Magh Purnima. 85.46 lakh devotees took a holy dip in the holy confluence on 13 February, 96.98 lakh on 14 February, 1.36 crore on 15 February, 1.49 crore on 16 February, 1.35 crore on 17 February, 1.26 crore on 18 February, 1.08 crore on 19 February, 1.28 crore on 20 February, 1.28 crore on 21 February, 1.43 crore on 22 February, 1.32 crore on 23 February, 1.30 crore on 24 February and 1.33 crore on 25 February.
On an average, 1.5 crore devotees took a holy dip every day: Meanwhile, the crowd of devotees in Maha Kumbh has set a new record. In the last seven days, more than one crore devotees are taking a holy dip in the Triveni stream every day in Maha Kumbh. More than 65 crore devotees have participated in the Maha Kumbh which started on 13 January. If we talk about the average, so far 1.5 crore devotees have taken bath in Sangam every day. This number of devotees is a great record in itself.
