Lucknow, March 2: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati took a big decision in a meeting held at the party office in Lucknow on Sunday. She removed her nephew Akash Anand from all posts of the party. In his place, her brothers Anand Kumar and Ramji Gautam have been made the national coordinators of the party. Their responsibilities were also told.
Mayawati said in her statement that Akash Anand has been removed from all posts of the party. The entire responsibility behind removing Akash Anand lies with his father-in-law Ashok Siddharth. Ashok has not only harmed the party but has also spoiled Akash’s political career. In place of Akash, her younger brother Anand Kumar will continue to do all the work of the party. Anand has been made the national vice-president of the party as well as the national coordinator. To fully support him, Ramji Gautam has also been given the responsibility of national coordinator.
Mayawati said that out of these two, Anand Kumar’s main work will be to stay in Delhi more and take care of the party’s entire paper work and other important tasks. He will also maintain his contact throughout the country. Ramji Gautam will go to the entire country and every state and take the progress report of the party. He will ensure that the instructions given by him are followed to increase the mass base of the party.
Senior officials and workers of many states associated with the party were present in the meeting held at the party office. During this,
Mayawati reviewed the progress report of the decisions and works taken in the party meeting held recently. The BSP chief said that without the proper and holistic development of crores of people especially of the Bahujan Samaj in UP, not only UP but the country too cannot progress properly. Therefore, the government will have to rise above political, communal hatred and bias etc. and work for public interest and public welfare with full constitutional responsibility.
She said that there is a difference between the words and actions of the BJP government at the Centre and in the states where it is running.
Referring to Maha Kumbh, she said that it would have been better if it had been free from chaos, accidents and casualties as per the claims of the UP government. The government claimed made recently by the central and state governments during the budget seem to be mostly baseless in ground reality. This is the reason why there is no expected improvement in the lives of crores of poor, Dalits, tribals, backward classes and other hardworking people, rather the plight of the people has increased due to immense inflation, unemployment and the government’s mostly pro-rich and anti-people activities.
She said that in reality the government has become so farsighted that it is not able to see the current burning problems of livelihood, schools, hospitals, roads and the burden of GST tax etc. of 125 crore people of the country. Improvement in the intentions and policies of the government is necessary.
In the meeting, crime control and law and order were discussed especially in the districts of Uttar Pradesh.
On this, Mayawati said that due to the lack of proper rule of law in UP and the biased rule of the BJP, it has become difficult for the common people to get justice. If BSP government comes, the law and order situation will be perfect. BSP government will come and bring good days.
