6 women arrested for making obscene gestures in Haridwar

Haridwar, March 27: The Haridwar police has arrested six women on charges of spoiling the atmosphere by making obscene gestures to passengers.

According to the information, for the past few days, complaints were being received from the local people about some outside women making obscene gestures to the passengers near the bus station and railway gate and attracting them towards themselves. Taking cognizance of the complaints, the police took action and formed a team and arrested six women from near railway gate no. 5 for making obscene gestures in public places.

The women caught have been identified as residents of various places in Haridwar, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Uttarakhand. The police have registered a case against the accused and challaned them.
