Goons attempt to kill swimming pool operator by drowning in Jhansi, case lodged

Jhansi, 5 April: Some miscreants tried to kill a swimming pool operator by drowning him in the pool in Prem Nagar police station area in Jhansi on Friday. The goons also beat up the employees who came to save him. This entire incident was captured in CCTV camera. Police came into action when the video of the incident went viral. Police has registered a case on the complaint of the swimming pool owner and started searching for the accused.

Complainant Nipun Rai alias Amit Rai, resident of Hansari in Prem Nagar police station area, told the police that he has a swimming pool named Shivganga Haven. On Friday evening, he was sitting in his swimming pool area, then in an inebriated state, Hansari resident Arman alias Bhura Yadav, his friend Aman Yadav alias Dheeraj, Rajgarh resident Rahul Yadav and others came to swim. When they were stopped from bathing in the swimming pool in an inebriated state, those people started kicking, punching and slapping me. He was thrown into the swimming pool with the intention of killing him. Since he knew swimming, he somehow saved his life by coming out from the other side. When other employees came to rescue him, they were also beaten up. Meanwhile, when the police was called, all the attackers fled from the spot.

Police station in-charge Prem Nagar Sarita Mishra said on Saturday that a case has been registered under relevant sections on the complaint of the victim. Investigation has revealed that a criminal case is already registered against the accused. Efforts are being made to arrest all.
