Kanpur, 16 April: Son brutally murdered his elderly mother by stabbing her with a knife. Meanwhile, he himself informed the police about the incident over the phone. Police has arrested the accused son. The accused wanted to have a love marriage but his mother opposed it, so he committed the crime.
ADCP Mahesh Kumar said that Pramila Singh (55), a resident of Refugee Colony in Fatehpur, lived with her son Raja. Her husband Dharmendra Singh died about five years ago. The eldest daughter Preetu among their four children is married. The youngest son Rahul (19) died in a road accident three years ago. While brother Raja and sister Akanksha. Son Raja lives in the village and does farming. A few days ago, the elderly mother was injured. Therefore, she came to her elder daughter Preetu’s in-laws’ house in Narayan Purwa, Hanumant Vihar for her treatment.
Daughter Preetu told that brother Raja has been in love with a girl for some years but mother did not like the girl because the girl’s family has applied a condition that first get the house transferred in the name of the son then only will they get married.
She further told that on Wednesday, Raja came home without any information. As soon as he entered the house, he pushed the mother and started saying that if you do not transfer the house in my name, then I will kill you. I will also kill sister because she is the one who is conspirating against me. Just saying this, he started beating her. During the rescue, he stabbed the mother with a knife and killed her.
At present, he has been arrested with the weapon used in the murder. Further legal action is being taken in the case, informs police.
