New Delhi, April 24: After the decisions taken in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), India said today that the Visitors International Stay Admission (visa) of all Pakistanis living in the country will remain valid only till April 27 and medical visa till April 29. All Pakistani citizens present here should now leave India as soon as possible. At the same time, Indians living in Pakistan have been asked to return to their country as soon as possible.
The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement on Thursday that in the wake of the decisions taken by the CCS in the wake of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the Government of India has decided to suspend visa services to Pakistani citizens with immediate effect. All existing valid visas issued by India to Pakistani citizens have been cancelled from April 27. Medical visas issued to Pakistani citizens will remain valid only till April 29. All Pakistani citizens present in India should now leave India before the expiry of the revised visa.
The Ministry of External Affairs has strictly advised Indian citizens to avoid travelling to Pakistan. Also, Indian citizens currently present in Pakistan have also been advised to return to India as soon as possible.
