Pulwama, February 19: Three militants were killed by security forces in an encounter between militants and security forces late Tuesday night in Tral area of โโPulwama district. The slain terrorists belong to the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind- an Islamic jihadi outfit. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from the possession of the slain militants.
According to information received from army sources, security forces received strong tip-off about the hiding of terrorists in the Tral area of โโthe district late on Tuesday night.
As soon as the information was received, a joint team of Army, Special Operation Group (SOG) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) started to search the entire area for the attack of the terrorists. During the search operation, the militants opened fire on seeing the security forces approaching, after which the encounter started.
In this encounter, three terrorists were killed by the security forces. The three slain terrorists belonged to the Ansar Ghazwa-ul-Hind terrorist organization. Arms and ammunition have also been recovered along with the bodies of the slain militants.
