Lucknow, April 28: Union Electronics and Information Technology and Communication Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday while interacting with the Ministers and Secretaries of department of Electronics and Information Technology of all states through video conferencing has sought information regarding the work being done by the departments in view of circumstances arising out of coronavirus and also rendered guidelines for the future.
State Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma apprised the Union Minister about the work being done by the department at the state level via video conferencing and also presented the future strategy.
33,949 public service centers doing work
The Deputy Chief Minister apprised the Union Minister that Uttar Pradesh is at the forefront in downloading ‘Arogya Setu’ mobile app and till date about 1.18 crore people have downloaded Arogya Setu app. The government is committed to its maximum download and use. The pace of opening public service centers (PSCs) has been accelerated following the instructions of the central government. At present, 33,949 Jan Seva Kendras are functioning, which is 51 percent of the total installed capacity.
Over 2.50 lakh calls received till date in CM Helpline-1076
Dinesh Sharma informed that through the Chief Minister Helpline-1076, facilities are being provided to the general public in the disaster and problems of food, shelter home, medical etc. are being resolved immediately. So far, more than 2.50 lakh calls have been received and more than 1.30 lakh people have received calls and their feedback has been taken.
Shelter homes, community kitchens can be searched on Google map
Sharma told that 1070 Corona Control Room has been established in the Relief Commissioner’s Office. All community kitchens, shelter homes and other Covid-19 facilities have been GeoTagged using the state disaster Covid-19 mobile app. They can be searched from anywhere on Google Map.
IT based innovative technology works being done in many districts
On the occasion Dinesh Sharma apprised Prasad that the facility of e-pass is applicable in all the districts with the help of National Informatics Centre (NIC). People can apply from their mobiles to go within the district and from one district to another and the pass is also available on the mobile itself.
He informed that new IT based innovative technology works are also being done by many districts, such as Containment App in Rae Bareli, Disaster Management Plan in Bulandshahr, Community Kitchen and Public Delivery in Gorakhpur and Telemedicine in Etawah etc.
Dinesh Sharma also assured the complete support of the state government for schemes run by the Government of India such as Right of Way, Broadband Readiness Index, Telemedicine and Bharat Net Scheme.
Telemedicine-work from home will be promoted, emphasis on investment
He told about the future strategy that telemedicine and work from home will be promoted in the state and the government is giving a lot of emphasis on attracting investment.
In the video conferencing, besides Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, Minister of State for IT and Electronics Ajit Pal Singh from Kanpur and Special Secretary IT and Electronics Rishirendra Kumar were also present.
