Crime: Ex BSP MP Dhananjay Singh sent to jail for extortion and kidnapping

Lucknow, 11 May: UP’s muscleman and former BSP Member of Parliament (MP) Dhananjay Singh was presented before the chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Court by the Jaunpur Police on Monday where the CJM Court has sent him to jail on 14 day judicial custody in connection with of extortion and criminal intimidation.

It is worth mentioning that Kotwali police arrested Singh at around 2:00 am last night from his residence in Jaunpur district.

He is accused of threatening to kidnap and asked for money in return from Abhinav Singhal, the project manager of Jal Nigam.

However, on the compliant of Abhinav Singhal against former MP, Kotwali police arrested him and produced before the CJM Court. CJM court has sent him on 14 day judicial custody.
