Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust admitted delay in construction of Ram temple due to ongoing nationwide lockdown.
Ayodhya, May 20: Remains of the temple structures have been found during the levelling the ground in the sanctum sanctorum of Ram Janmabhoomi site.
Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust (RJTKT) is involved in the levelling the ground in the sanctum sanctorum by following the lockdown orders for the construction of a grand temple at Ram Janmabhoomi.
However during an ongoing excavation carried out by ASI from the JCB, stone pillars containing the Amalak idol of the temple, the jamb of the ancient well temple were found.
Champat Rai, general secretary of RJTKT and vice-president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) informed that after obtaining permission from the District Magistrate (DM) through trust, the levelling work of the ground for construction of future magnificent temples in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex and removal of old gangway work was started.
He informed that three JCB machines, one crane, two tractors and 10 labourers are engaged in this work. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, work of construction of Shree Ram temple is going on in slow motion.
Giving information about the order of the High Court, Rai said that in addition to the earlier excavated antiquities, a large number of fragmented sculptures of antiquities, deities, floral, urn, amalak, Dorjamb etc. artifacts, arches, etc. pillars of black touch stone, six red sand stone pillars, Shivling’s figure with 5 fitted carvings has been found till date.
โHowever, levelling the ground is also in progress. Following the instructions issued from time to time in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, the use of machines and all other safety measures like personal distance (social distancing), masks etc. were used to prevent from the infection of disease,โ apprised Rai.
