433 new cases of infection were reported in the state in the last twenty four hours.
So far, 4,076 active cases of corona in UP, 6,185 patients have been cured.
Lucknow, June 07: The number of active cases of corona in the state has now reached to 4,076 in 75 districts.
At the same time, 6,185 people have been discharged from the hospitals after getting cured completely.
However, in the last twenty four hours, 433 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported.
Apart from this, a total of 275 deaths due to this lethal virus have occurred in the state so far.
Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Amit Mohan Prasad said on Sunday that 11,021 swab samples were sent to various laboratories for testing on Saturday. In this, 11,308 samples were tested including old samples.
โEarlier, 11,318 on Friday, 12,589 on Thursday, 10,563 on Wednesday, 9,322 on Tuesday, 9,575 on Monday and 8,642 corona samples were tested on Sunday. It is targeted to conduct 15,000 testing each day by 15 June,โ informed officer.
Testing of various samples through 1,211 pools
He said that on Saturday, various samples were tested through 1,211 pools. Five samples per pool were tested through 1,084 pools. Of these, 128 pools reported to be positive. Ten samples per pool were tested through 127 pools. 17 pools came positive among them.
He told further that earlier on Friday, various samples were tested through 1,131 pools. Five samples per pool were tested through 983 pools. Of these, 179 pool reports were positive. Ten samples per pool were tested through 148 pools. Of these, 25 pools came positive.
โOn Thursday, various samples were tested through 1,203 pools. Five samples per pool were tested through 1,036 pools. At the same time, ten samples per pool were tested through 167 pools. On Wednesday, 5,430 samples were tested through 987 pools. Five samples per pool were tested through 888 pools. Of these, 146 pools came positive,โ Prasad added.
Prasad apprised that ten samples per pool were tested through 99 pools. Of these, 15 pools reported to be positive. Various samples were examined through 893 pools on Tuesday. Five samples per pool were tested through 798 pools. Ten samples per pool were tested through 95 pools.
On Monday, various samples were tested through 900 pools. Five samples per pool were tested through 785 pools. At the same time, ten samples per pool were tested through 115 pools. Various samples were tested through 958 pools on Sunday. Five samples per pool were tested through 847 pools. Of these, 100 pools were found positive, said officer.
Officer told that at the same time, ten samples per pool were tested through 111 pools. Of these, 20 pools were found positive.
So far, 50 swab samples have been tested in the Basti district with Truenat Beta Test machine
Principal Secretary, Health said that due to the installation of Truenat Beta COV (TBT) machines ( Tuberculosis testing device) for coronavirus screening in hospitals of many districts of the state, swab samples have begun to be tested through them. It will also ramp up testing capacity in the state.
โSo far, 50 swab samples have been tested from this machine in Basti district. It has also been started in other districts. TBT machines help in non-Covid care. Due to this, the corona testing capacity of the state has been increased,โ confirmed Principal Secretary Health.
4,175 people admitted to isolation ward
There are 4,175 people currently admitted in the isolation wards in the state. These include 89 people on oxygen and 07 patients on ventilators.
โAt the same time 7,763 people who, came in direct contact with coronavirus infected persons, have been kept in the facility quarantine so being in the hotspot areas, they could have symptoms or are non-immune to infection,โ told Prasad.
64,746 people call from control room regarding Aarogya Setu app
He informed that the alerts received by those who downloaded the ‘Aarogya Setu’ app in the state, are being sent to the respective districts. At the same time, people who have come in contact with infected people through the control room, are calling and giving information about it. So far 64,746 people have been called.
Asha workers reach 13, 60,119 migrant workers’ homes
Principal Secretary, Health said that 13, 60,119 migrant workers have been visited by the ASHA workers so far. Out of these, 1,199 people have been found with some symptoms. They are being tested.
Health teams reach among 4.27 crore people
Principal Secretary, Health informed that the teams of Health Department are constantly reaching out and surveying people in different areas. So far 4, 27, 73,938 people from 84, 04,269 households were surveyed by 1, 09,124 surveillance teams in a total of 15,482 areas, including 4,553 hot spots and 10,929 non-hotspot areas.
