Lucknow, June 22: Novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) continues to spread in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
In the Microbiology Department of the King George’s Medical University (KGMU) of the capital, 70 reports of 2,142 samples tested on Sunday came positive on Monday.
These include 16-16 in Lucknow and Sambhal, 09 patients in Kannauj, 07 in Moradabad, 06-06 in Ayodhya-Barabanki, 04 in Hardoi, 03 in Shahjahanpur and 01-01 patients of Siddharthnagar, Unnao and Kheri.
Apart from this, new cases of corona have been confirmed in various districts of the state in the reports of other laboratories.
So far, 17 new positive cases have been reported this morning in Etawah. Here, another corona-infected person has died.
Two infected have been found in Kanpur Dehat on Monday. The number of corona infected has now reached 49 in the district. Among them, 47 are migrants. One of the infected died by drinking a sanitizer. There are now 13 corona cases.
Four new corona positive patients have been found in Kanungo Pura in Bahraich district. All of them belong to the family of first found positive.
Two corona positive patients have been found in Balrampur district on Monday. Among them is a 12-year-old child. Dr Ghanshyam Singh, Chief Medical Officer has confirmed this.
Two people have died of lethal virus in Siddharthnagar district while today a total of 15 new patients have appeared. The infected also include a 2-year-old child. This has been confirmed by Dr Seema Rai, Chief Medical Officer. So far, 220 corona infections have been found in the district. Of these, 10 have died. However, there are 58 active cases while 153 people have recovered and gone home.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the responsibility of setting up of Covid Hospital, Non Covid Hospital, Logistics, Covid Help Desk etc. should be entrusted to the different officers of the department and daily progress reports are received from them.
He said that oxygen should be provided in every ambulance along with Covid hospitals.
βL-1 hospitals should also have oxygen available in 10 percent beds. Continuous work should be done with regard to increasing the number of beds in Covid hospitals,β CM instructed.
