Maharashtra continues to witness surge in coronavirus cases, total 1,64,626 cases

Mumbai, June 28: In Maharashtra, 5493 coronavirus cases have been found in single day on Sunday. This has increased the number of corona-infected patients to 1, 64,626 in the state.

On Sunday, 60 corona patients have died in a day in the state taking the total death toll to 7429 in the state. So far, 86,575 patients from Corona have been fully recovered and sent back to their respective homes.

Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that 60 people died in the state today. Today, 25 people have died of corona in Thane division along with 23 deaths in Mumbai. Similarly, 8 deaths have been reported in Nashik division, 24 in Pune division, 2 in Kolhapur division, 1 corona patients in Akola division.

The Health Minister said that today the number of corona patients in Mumbai has increased to 75,539.

“So far, 4371 people have died in Mumbai. Similarly, today 2330 people in the state are completely healthy after being treated. All of them have been sent back to their homes. So far, 86,574 people in the state have been completely recovered from Corona infection,” told Tope.

Health Minister informed that the treatment of 1, 18,732 in Thane division, 8431 in Nashik division, 24,462 in Pune division, 1944 in Kolhapur division, 5675 in Aurangabad division, 955 in Latur division, 2588 in Akola division, 1765 in Nagpur division and 74 patients of other states continue in Maharashtra.
