Lucknow, November 22: The impact of the second wave of coronavirus infection in Delhi is also being seen in Uttar Pradesh. Because of this, now those coming to Uttar Pradesh from Delhi will be diagnosed for Covid-19.
The Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Rajendra Kumar Tiwari on Sunday said that all the people coming from Delhi by train, air route and bus will be screened for Covid-19.
The state government has taken this decision in view of the ever increasing infection in Delhi.
The Chief Secretary said that the government is considering limiting the number of people attending the weddings and other functions.
It is believed that in view of the present circumstances, the Yogi government can reduce the number of people attending weddings and other crowded events.
Currently 200 people are allowed to attend weddings. But, given the growing Corona infection, the government may reduce the number to 100.
The District Magistrates of Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida), Ghaziabad and Agra have decided in this regard at their level.
At the same time, the state government can decide soon and issue orders. This decision will be made keeping in mind the current circumstances of all places.
On the other hand, Additional Chief Secretary of the state, Information Navneet Sehgal also said on Sunday that the impact of Delhi’s rising virus infection to Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad and Meerut is being seen in the state. Therefore testing has been increased in these areas and medical facilities are being strengthened further.
He said that care is being taken that the infection from Delhi does not have much effect in the surrounding districts. In view of this, random testing of people coming from Delhi is also being done, so that the infected person can be identified and treated in the hospital before entering the state.
