UP: Health workers to get second shot of Covid-19 vaccine on January 28-29

Lucknow, 27 January: The corona vaccination drive will be carried out for health workers once again on January 28 and 29.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed that in the first phase, the process of vaccination against Covid-19 of health workers should be done in a time bound manner. Vaccination should be done as per the guidelines of the Government of India guidelines.

Additional Chief Secretary, Information Navneet Sehgal said on Wednesday that 168 new cases of corona infection have been reported across the state in the last twenty four hours. During this period, 333 patients were discharged on getting healthy.

โ€œThe infection graph is continuously coming down and the number of new cases is going down significantly. The number of active corona cases in the state has come down to 6,368. Of the total active cases of corona, 1,706 people are in home isolation. A total of 1, 03,683 samples were investigated in the state in one day yesterday. A total of 2, 74, 24,012 samples have been investigated so far in the state,โ€ he added.

He informed that a total of 5, 84,372 people have been discharged from Covid-19 so far in the state. A population of 15,24,74,373 of 3,13,86,069 households has been surveyed through 5,09,656 team days in 1,84,263 areas through surveillance teams in the state.

He further informed that 1,087 people took medical advice in twenty four hours through e-Sanjeevani in the state. Information about Covid transmission is being taken by reaching out to each family using new surveillance of the state and taking care of them.

He said that till now more than 2.74 crore Covid-19 tests and more than 15.24 crore persons have been informed about Covid infection.

Sehgal said that industrial activities are becoming increasingly common due to reduced infection. Mission employment is being run for the youth. The state government is running a campaign to provide youth in employment through government jobs, employment, self-employment, skills training. Appointments in government jobs are being accelerated.

He informed that all the commissions, departments, corporations, councils have been asked to complete the time bound and transparent process to fill the vacancies they have.

He informed that the target of giving four lakh government jobs in four years is being met by the government.

24.839 crore loans disbursed to 7.15 lakh new MSME units so far

He informed that 8.18 lakh units of micro, small, medium and large category are operational in the state, in which 52 lakh workers are working. So far, loans worth Rs 24,839 crore have been disbursed to 7.15 lakh new MSME units in the state in coordination with banks.

In order to get rid of the problem of working capital of the old units in the state, loans of Rs. 11,100 crore have been disbursed and sanctioned to 4.37 lakh units in self-sufficient package by coordinating with banks. Thus more than Rs 36,000 crore of loans has been provided by banks to more than 11.52 lakh MSME units. More than 27 lakh people have been provided employment opportunities through these MSME units.

Sehgal said that the process of procuring his crop at the minimum support price from farmers is going on fast. In the last four years, about 60,000 crore rupees crop has been purchased from farmers, including paddy and wheat which will be paid directly to their bank account.

So far, 628.18 lakh quintal paddy crops have been purchased by the state government, which is about one and a half times more than last year. Minimum support prices of paddy and groundnut should be provided to the farmers. He informed that the Kisan Kalyan Mission was run by the state government in 825 development blocks. Through the Farmers Welfare Mission, the farmers were made aware of the central and state government schemes running on subjects ranging from yield, sale of crop, equipment and grants for farming, irrigation, availability of seeds, etc.
