Ayodhya, 27 February: Govind Devgiri, the treasure of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust confirmed that till now Rs 2100 crore has been credited in various bank accounts of the trust on Saturday in Ayodhya.
Meanwhile, the fundraising drive, for the construction of grand Ram temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi started across the country from Makar Sankranti, has concluded on Saturday.
“So far an amount of Rs 2100 crores has reached in various accounts of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust. However, this figure will increase further as funds from far-flung areas of the country will reach the banks in the next two-three days. Now, devotees and Indians living abroad can also join this campaign, it will be decided soon in the next meeting of the Trust,” Giri added.
He said that Saturday was the last day of the fund collection campaign for the construction of Ram temple. Coupons of Rs 10, 100 and 1000 were issued with receipts to enable poor people to join all the castes and classes in the country in a massive campaign. Till date, funds worth 2100 crores have been deposited in the trust account.
Trust treasurer Govind Devgiri said that a large number of Cheques and cash are yet to be deposited as because it was the last day of the fundraising campaign. Banks are closed for two days. In such a situation, more money is yet to come for ‘Ram Lala Virajman’ (infant form of lord Ram).
According to the treasurer of the trust, Indians and devotees of Lord Ram residing abroad are demanding to carry on fundraising drive further but it can be decided by the trust meeting.
